SSSFI was established in year 1977. Founder of the company, Fang Chew Ham started San Soon Seng Food Industries Sdn Bhd external link (SSSFI) as liquid caramel external link producer. Through years of hardship and commitment to provide quality and concerns in customer satisfaction, SSSFI continuously grows under the leadership of Mr. Fang.

In the early 90's, SSSFI extended its caramel products range to include the international standard caramel colour. The demand of the products continued to grow.

Aiming to become one of the leading food and beverage ingredients manufacturers, SSSFI decided to broaden its products portfolio in the early 90's. Vinegar products external link were introduced in year 1994 followed by Soya Protein Sauce (HVP) products in year 1996.

Using the latest technology, SSSFI extended into another starch-based product, Glucose Syrup and Maltose Syrup external link in 2002. While anticipating customer needs and consistency in providing quality products, SSSFI products market demand grows dramatically over the years.

In year 2002, San Soon Seng Food Industries Sdn Bhd became the wholly own subsidiary of Three-A Resources Berhad and was listed in the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. At the same time, the company was also awarded internationally acclaimed ISO 9001:2000 with UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation System) by SIRIM for Quality Management System.

Over many years of expansion in liquid products, SSSFI diversified into powder product external link manufacturing in the year 2003. Spray drying facilities were brought into the production line, catering for Caramel Powder, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HVP) Powder and Soya Sauce Powder production.

In year 2007, SSSFI continued its specialty in starch-based products by launching full range of Maltodextrin external link into the market.

Today, SSSFI extensive products portfolio inclusive of Liquid Caramel(Malaysia Standard), Caramel Colour(International Standard), Caramel Powder, Distilled Vinegar, Natural Fermented Vinegar, Rice Vinegar, Soya Protein Sauce(HVP), Glucose Syrup, Maltose Syrup, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein(HVP) Powder, Soya Sauce Powder, and Maltodextrin.

Backed by the experience and expertise of the management team and coupled with strong technical support, SSSFI had gained much confidence from its customers. The company set down its principles and policy to provide quality products, to satisfy customer requirements, and to strive for continual improvements. Coupled with experience and growth strategies, the company has ventured into the international market. Products of SSSFI exported over 20 countries around the world.
